Tenant Storage Enclosures — Multifamily Building
Converting an unused common area in a Brooklyn apartment building into organized, secure tenant storage — laid out, fabricated and installed by Gazelle’s own crew.
Overview
As part of an ongoing property-management engagement, Gazelle Construction converted an interior common area in a Brooklyn multifamily building into individual tenant storage units — a direct improvement to the building’s usefulness for its tenants and its value for ownership.
The Challenge
Storage in an apartment building only works if it’s organized, durable and secure. The units had to be dimensioned to get the most usable area out of the existing footprint, built from materials that stand up to daily tenant use, and individually lockable so each unit could be assigned and controlled.
The Work
Gazelle managed the full scope: clearing and preparing the common area, laying out and dimensioning the individual units to maximize usable space, procuring and coordinating installation of galvanized framing with chain-link enclosure panels, and providing hinged access doors with locking hardware at each unit. Finished unit dimensions were documented for ownership so tenant assignment could start immediately.
The Result
A clean row of secure, individually assignable storage units where unused floor area used to be. The photographs below are unaltered site records from the period of work, March–April 2025.
