Overview

A new single-family home of more than 7,000 square feet is planned for this Woodbury property. Gazelle coordinated every step of getting the site ready: utility disconnects, asbestos testing, septic abandonment, underground oil tank removal, tree removal, construction fencing, demolition of the existing house, grading and fill, and the survey layout. All site work was performed by licensed specialty subcontractors under Gazelle’s coordination.

The Challenge

Site preparation is a sequence of permits and disconnects that each depend on the one before: nothing comes down until the water, gas and electric are cut and the tank is out, and nothing gets graded until the demolition debris is gone.

The Work

Phase 1 (2025): light interior demolition, tree removal, construction fencing. Phase 2 (spring 2026): oil tank removal. Phase 3 (June 2026): water service cut at the street. Phase 4 (August 2026): house demolition and foundation removal. Phase 5 (September 2026): dumpsters, site clearing, grading and fill. Phase 6 (October 2026): survey layout and stakeout.

Where It Stands

The lot is cleared, graded and staked. Plans are filed and awaiting approval. Construction starts when the permit is issued.
